Screening buckets
adjustable output size

Designed for separating materials of different sizes directly on site, Simex VS screening bucket stands out for its easy loading, ease of use and high productivity. The exclusive Simex patent allows the rapid adjustment of output size of the screened material in only seconds via a control in the operator cabin.

FIT: the new screening tool configuration system.

Each element is composed of 5 independent parts, designed to easily interlock with each other with no weldings. They are easily replaceable without difficult operations and without the need of shafts unstrapping: this means up to 75% less maintenance costs, since it is possible to replace even just one single disc or blade. The system allows multiple configurations depending on the materials to be screened. Simex provides to the users 3 different set-ups, but many others are possible thanks to screening elements that are totally interchangeable.

Features

Available in 6 models for excavators from 1,5 to 45 tons, VSE screening buckets feature two important patents: the new screening tool system which allows up to 75% less maintenance costs and the rapid adjustment of output size of the material to be screened.

The advantages of the adjustable output size

Simex has chosen to develop the moving shaft technology via a rapid control and high performing screening tools because they are more reliable on wet and muddy soil if compared to traditional systems. The screening elements that make up the shafts are composed of discs and blades of different diameters which perfectly adhere to each other producing a high swirl of the material to be screened: wet material is easily screened, and does not stick to the bucket elements as often happens with traditional systems.

Effective on wet soil

Simex has chosen to develop the moving shaft technology via a rapid control and to design high performing screening tools because they are more reliable on wet and muddy soil if compared to traditional systems. The screening elements that make up the shafts are composed of discs and blades of different diameters which perfectly adhere to each other producing a high swirl of the material to be screened: wet material is easily screened, and does not stick to the bucket elements as often happens with traditional systems.

FIT: FIVE INDEPENDENT TOOLS

Each element is composed of 5 independent parts, designed to easily interlock with each other with no weldings. They are easily replaceable without difficult operations and without the need of shafts unstrapping: this means up to 75% less maintenance costs since it is possible to replace even just one single disc or blade. No disassembly of the shafts is needed. Each element is easily replaceable with a simple procedure that can be performed in minutes directly on-site, simply with a hammer and a punch.

MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS AND REPLACEABLE DISCS

The system allows multiple configurations depending on the materials to be screened. Simex provides to the users 4 different set-ups, but many others are possible thanks to screening elements that are totally interchangeable. The new screening tools are backward compatible with the previous system.

RECYCLING CONFIGURATION

Recycling configuration is indicated for screening mixed material such as dry clay, gravel, silt and peat. Profitably used in the oil&gas sector for padding and backfilling pipelines excavations. In addition, it is particularly indicated for screening waste material deriving from demolitions.

DISGREGATION CONFIGURATION

Disgregation configuration grants high performance with soil, peat, clay and vegetal waste. Often used for topsoil selection in the horticulture industry and landscaping. The central blade, "more aggressive", ensures a light crushing when facing demolition waste, stones and concrete.

MIXED CONFIGURATION

Mixed configuration is designed for damp soil, mixed with stones, gravel and clay. Particularly effective for volumetric reduction, light crushing and topsoil screening in the horticultural and agricultural field. Very effective to process bio waste or to select topsoil resulting from the reclamation of mixed and rocky soil.

AGGRESSIVE CONFIGURATION

Indicated for separating damp and wet material that tends to adhere to stones, roots and demolition waste. Greater crushing thanks to the presence of only toothed elements.

Applications

The adjustable output size controlled directly from the cabin combined with the new FIT screening tools configuration system allows the operator to separate different sized materials with no downtime, now with less maintenance costs and enhanced performances in many fields of application.

In presence of waste material resulting from demolition or construction, VSE buckets finds its common destination of use, producing a recycled material usable as stabilized aggregate in construction job-sites or for roads bases.

In backfilling operations for covering underground utilities, particularly in the Oil&Gas sector, the rapid adjustment of the output size brings great benefits in terms of time saving and costs cutting. Thanks to Simex patent the operator gets different grain sizes, both for bedding pipelines and backfilling trenches.

Simex VSE is an extremely versatile equipment for soil remediation from stones, gravel and other materials. In fact, thanks to the rapid adjustment of the output size, the operator is able to get 3 different granulometries with the same bucket: a fine size of 0-15 mm for landscaping, a medium size between 15 and 55 mm, and coarse aggregates greater than 55 mm to be reused directly on-site.

Simex VSE screening buckets allow to screen, reduce and aerate, with a single bucket, vegetal waste and topsoil to accelerate the composting phase or to deliver to disposal plants a previously treated material, facilitating processes and reducing costs. The output material of a VSE is also suitable for the subsequent resale in horticultural, agricultural and landscaping fields. In fact, even in presence of dry, damp or muddy soil, the mobile shaft technology prevents the material from getting stuck between the screening tools.
